Signs of spring

These branches are from the scrub oak outside my desk window.

Signs of spring

You may smile with anticipation as you gaze upon the bumpy sections of the tree because those bumps must be promising buds of spring time right? Wrong. They are some type of tree disease and those swollen woody knots are actually living bug things. At least that is what I retained from the conversations we had with the gardener.

Don’t look at me people. The trees belong to Claude. Even though there were negotiations made to spray the trees (with environmentally friendly spray) and share the cost. Claude declined the offer and did so by leaving a hand written note on a pine tree in our yard.

Weeks after the note was found and forgotten, and the day after our windows were professionally cleaned, Claude had the scrub oak sprayed along with every thing within a 50 mile radius.

I think that was done on purpose. Point for Claude.
