Can’t say I’m sad that my children are more the head banging type. There are many rap/hip hop jingles worth finding space on my ipod for, but only a few I’ll admit to. Being a girl from the 80’s too much “word to your mother” can be painful. Currently Little Man’s favorite band to bounce in the car to is AC/DC, lord love him. My little guy knows how to melt his mother’s heart. Little Man has the Billy Idol rude dude fist pump down, and his sisters have been working with him to get the Billy Idol sneer; once that is mastered a mixture of bleach and some spiking sheers will be a must.
I’m not ashamed to admit I love, and sway my Bic lighter to Def Leppard, Motley Crue, Bon Jovi (the slippery when wet years) and Aerosmith. I also love Prince, Madonna, AND brace yourselves; you may never come back after reading this – ERASURE. Yep, two guys, a synthesizer and a tu tu, gotta love’em.
Forever the back ground music in my life will be Billy Idol, that man can rock (and he’s a babe). I took my two girls to see him at Mandalay Bay in Vegas 2 years ago. Sessy was only 3, Billy sang “Cradle of Love” to her, I have never been so proud. I should have taken them to Prince’s farewell tour, selfishly I wanted Prince all to myself, my girls were made to stay home with a babysitter, Sas will never let me live that down.
We listen to a wide variety of music, Dino, Frank, Yaz, Bob Marley, Tina Turner, Jimmy Buffet, Kiss, Guns N Roses, did I mention Billy Idol? But you will not find much rapping. Although, my dad has been in a Snoop Dogg video, and a couple of Nelly videos, so we are friendly with the rappin’ world, just not blaring it from our stereos. Do you think Snoop Dogg has Erasure on his ipod?
All in all, my kids are gonna be all right. I can tell by the way they hold their air guitars. Nothing wussy about an extra long air guitar, the kind your left arm has to hold straight up for leverage and grip. Yes, my little buccaneers are going to be all right…phew.

I thought the same way about my boys who both love the Clash and the Who but all the sudden my oldest is fully hung up on Eminem. It’s horrible, it’s killing me!
I love your eclectic taste, I think it’s a good way to be with music. Aside from the Bon Jovi thing, I can’t stand that guy
I do love Billy Idol though, especially the GenX years

How old is Billy Idol? Seems he has been around a while. This is my first time to your site. Looks like you haven’t been doing this long, or did you switch from another community and start this up? Stay around you are good for a laugh!
